SWIMMING ALL-AMERICANs: Each year, an “automatic” time is
determined and published by the
National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association.
Swimmers will not be considered as having achieved an ALL-AMERICAN AUTOMATIC
(AAA) time until their application has been received and accepted by NISCA. Swimmers who are selected to the ALL-AMERICAN team will receive
a commemorative certificate. These certificates will be sent directly
to the swimmer during the summer following the academic year in which it was
earned.
ALL-AMERICAN CONSIDERATION (AAC) certificates were discontinued in 2001.
At present, the fastest one hundred thirty (130) times in each
event are named ALL-AMERICAN. From 2002-2005, the fastest one hundred
(100) times in each event were named ALL-AMERICAN. Prior
to 2002, only the top forty (40) times in each event were

DIVING ALL-AMERICANs: Each year, the NISCA High School ALL-AMERICAN Diving Selection Committee chooses the top 260 high school divers (130 girls and 130 boys), to receive ALL-AMERICAN awards. These divers represent the top 1% of all high school divers in the nation who compete in interscholastic competition while in grades 9-12. Selection is based on submitted materials including a DVD of the diver performing 11 dives following National Federation Rule 9-4-1c. |
